August 2018 Bookish Wrap Up

And like that, August is over. I always associate August with the end of summer. This is probably the case for many people because September is back-to-school and we’re all hardwired to think that going back to school is the end of summer.

While I wish I had a bigger bang to my end-of-summer, I’m afraid it was caught up with a lot of packing and moving. We’re still traveling on our way to the west coast, but relaxing for a little bit before getting there.

When the world seems like it’s falling apart everywhere we turn, it’s always good to know that younger generations of people are gaining the same knowledge and understanding of the world. We may not be able to protect our young people from the prejudice and stereotypes and hate that surrounds them, but if we open up the floor for them to speak their truth we might find that what they say actually matters.
